Antwerp - BE
The art Ephameron makes is sensitive. With images and small texts; she tries to recreate everyday feelings and thoughts to capture moments in life with her art. Recurring themes like hands, birds and girls live in her fantasy world of emotions, colourless backgrounds and huge black tape drawings. Addicted to model drawing and office supplies, Ephameron dislikes making up a concept behind her art. Her weapon of choice is a 2B pencil teamed up with 80g white paper and her drawings / collages / digital paintings / photographs reflect ephemeral and trivial aspects of life. Ephameron collects toys, books and movies, and is very materialistic. She can't stand girls who wear high heels and pretend to be comfortable in them. But maybe she's just jealous.
Ephameron graduated in fine arts and illustrative design a couple of years ago. Now she's a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, web designer, photographer and painter. Previous clients include Weekend Knack, De Standaard Magazine, Modart, The Bulletin, Bries Publishing, Mekanik Strip, Brooklyn, Nokia and Lonsdale. Ephameron has contributed to number of exhibitions worldwide such as in Rome, Paris, Bordeaux, Lausanne, Vienna, Linz, Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Rotterdam, The Hague and Tilburg.
Her award-winning website www.ephameron.com has been an ongoing art project since 2000, her first book Love/Pain was recently published by Bries in Antwerp.
