Géraldine Georges (1977) lives and works in Brussels.
After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, she worked for 7 years as a graphic designer in various advertising agencies. In late 2006, she decided to start as a freelance illustrator.
Her style is sensual and fluid. Her works invite us to a dream.
The starting point are photographs of women. They seem unreal, distant. They seem to appear out of a dream. They seem to hide. They seem vulnerable. They reveal to us their skin. The artist is cutting them, taking their cloths of and dressing them with fluid lines, with
movements. As a result, an obvious but sometimes strange harmony emerges.
'My approach is simple, I try to recreate emotions, to find a balance. My inspirations are life, death, love, music, nature, emotions and many others ... Just look at the world and people around us'.
